Privacy policy

What personal data we collect on this site and around UniqBot, why, how long we keep it, who else sees it, and how to exercise your rights.

Last updated 4 November 2026

Who is responsible

Uniq Project Sàrl, 30 rue du Rhône, 1204 Geneva, Switzerland, is responsible for the personal data described on this page. For any question or request about your data, write to privacy@uniqproject.com.

This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Data inside UniqBot

The business data UniqBot works with (sales, bookings, guests, staff, questions asked to the bot) belongs to our client, the restaurant group. For that data, the client decides and is responsible, and we act on its behalf under a data processing agreement. If you work for one of our clients or are one of its guests, the first place to ask about your data is that company. We will help it answer.

What we collect on this site

  • Forms: when you ask for a free trial, a connector or contact us, we receive what you type: your name, email address, company, number of venues, the systems you use and your message. We use it only to answer you and, for a trial, to prepare it. We do not add you to a mailing list.
  • Analytics, only if you accept: Google Analytics tells us which pages are read and how visitors move through the site, with your device type and approximate country. Nothing is collected before you choose. See the cookie policy.
  • Technical logs: like any website, our host records technical data such as IP address, browser and time of each request, to keep the site running and secure. These logs are kept for a short period.

Our clients and their teams

To manage a subscription, we keep the contact details of the people who sign, pay and administer it, and the invoices. To sign in to the UniqBot backoffice, a person needs a name, an email address and, if enabled, a second factor. Sign-in codes and invitations are sent by email.

Why we may use it

  • To answer your request and prepare a trial: our legitimate interest in replying to a business enquiry, or the steps before a contract.
  • To run a subscription and invoice it: the contract with our client.
  • Analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Accounting records: our legal obligations.

How long we keep it

  • Requests sent through the forms: 24 months after our last exchange, unless they lead to a contract.
  • Analytics data: 14 months in Google Analytics.
  • Your cookie choice: 6 months, then we ask again.
  • Contract and accounting records: 10 years, as required by Swiss law.

Who receives it

Our team. And the providers that help us run the site and the service, each bound by contract to protect your data:

  • MailerSend sends the emails of the forms and of the backoffice.
  • Google receives analytics data, only if you accept.
  • Our website host stores the site and its technical logs.
  • The providers of the UniqBot service are listed on the sub-processors page.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Outside Switzerland and the EU

Some providers are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the adequacy decisions of Switzerland and the European Union, such as the Data Privacy Framework, or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, or object to or limit its use. Where you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to privacy@uniqproject.com. We answer within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, or to the data protection authority of the EU country where you live or work.

Security

We protect personal data with measures suited to the risk: encryption in transit and at rest, one separate database per client, access limited to those who need it, and two-factor sign-in. The security page gives the details.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
